How to set up your email on an Android phone

These steps use the Gmail app, which can also read other email accounts. Screens look slightly different between phone brands.

1. Open the Gmail app, tap your profile picture and choose Add another account.
2. Choose Other and enter your full email address. Tap Next.
3. Select Personal (IMAP) and enter your password.
4. Incoming server: mail.yourdomain.co.za, port 993, security type SSL/TLS. Use your full email address as the username.
5. Outgoing server: mail.yourdomain.co.za, port 465, security type SSL/TLS. Keep Require sign-in turned on and use the same username and password.
6. Tap Next, choose how often to sync, and finish. Send yourself a test email.
