How to check that a message is really from AfterWave
Criminals sometimes pretend to be a hosting company to steal logins or redirect payments. Use these checks before you act on a message.
Check these first
- The sender. Genuine emails come from an
@afterwavetechs.co.zaaddress. Be careful with near-matches and with free email addresses. - The link. Hover over buttons and links. Log in by typing our website address yourself, or use the links on our website, instead of links in an email.
- Your invoice. Genuine invoices match what you ordered and can also be found in your Client Area.
- Banking details. If a message says our banking details have changed, phone us on 067 363 1448 to confirm before you pay anything.
- Your password. Be suspicious of any message that asks you to send, confirm or type in your password by email or WhatsApp. If you are unsure, do not reply with it; contact us using the details on this site.
Found a suspicious message?
Do not click anything. Forward it to support@afterwavetechs.co.za or send us a screenshot on WhatsApp (065 506 7797). If you already entered a password, change it straight away. See What to do if your website or email is hacked.
