How to create a MySQL database and user
Dynamic websites such as WordPress store their content in a MySQL database. Your plan includes a set number of databases (see your plan limits).
- In cPanel click MySQL Database Wizard.
- Type a name for the database and click Next Step.
- Create a database user with a strong password and click Create User. Write the username and password down safely.
- Tick All Privileges and click Next Step.
Note
cPanel adds your account name in front of the database and user names, for example
account_wp1. Use the full names in your website’s settings.Your website’s configuration then needs four details: the database name, the username, the password, and the host, which is almost always localhost.
