How to create an email forwarder
A forwarder sends every email that arrives at one address to another address. For example, sales@yourdomain.co.za can be forwarded to your Gmail.
- Log in to cPanel and click Forwarders under Email.
- Click Add Forwarder.
- Enter the address to forward from, and the address to forward to.
- Click Add Forwarder.
Note
Some mail providers reject forwarded mail that fails spam checks. Setting up SPF, DKIM and DMARC helps forwarded mail arrive.
Important
Criminals sometimes create forwarders on stolen mailboxes to copy your emails. Review your forwarders from time to time and remove any you do not recognise. See How to protect yourself from email interception fraud.
